You are cordially invited to a
Free Tai Chi Chuan pushing hands get-together
Admission to the pushing hands gathering is free.
Date: December 27, 2015, Sunday
Time: 8:00 – 10:
00 a.m. at
No. 39, Guangfu Rd, Zhonghe District, New Taipei City, 235
Zhanghe Junior High School, badminton court.
More than a hundred students—of all skill levels—of Teacher Soong JJ’s will be on hand to meet with the guests.
In pushing hands with others, we put to objective test our ability to be supple, to yield and neutralize, and to comply with the lofty requirements of the TCC classics.
Two tracks will be offered on the floor. Pick one or pick both. The choice is yours.
1. Open pushing hands.
Find a partner and begin to play in a friendly way. Play with as many or as few practitioners as you want. The play is gentle, so youths, females, the infirm, or the elderly are welcome. Many unsighted students of ours will be there, too.
2. Learning pushing hands.
Coaches will be available to answer your questions and teach the following.
(a) Hand methods to work with the nine major joints: shoulders, elbows, wrists, neck, back, waist, hips, knees, and ankles.
(b) Ward off, roll back, pluck, and push
(c) Pluck and reverse pluck
(d) Double push, double pluck and push
The event will be immediately followed by
the 2015 Soong JJ Tai Chi Chuan Championship.
Registration and fees are required for the championship.
We look forward to seeing you.
